One of the most popular places to elope in Charleston SC, is White Point Gardens. This city park is also known as "Battery Park", as it is located in the battery at the edge of the peninsula. There is permit to obtain and  a fee to rent  from the county for 1 hour.

Washington Square

Washington Square is a small 1.48 acre park that packs in many iconic historical Charleston elements! Gas lanterns, monuments, wrought iron fencing, brick pathways, large mossy oaks, and a cobblestone street. There is permit to obtain and  a fee to rent  from the county for 1 hour.

Philadelphia Alley

This pedestrian path in historic Charleston stretches just one block, running north from Queen Street to Cumberland between Church and State. Although limited in length, it nevertheless is widely known for its quiet shade and lowcountry charm. In fact, local legend and Grammy winner Darius Rucker shot much of his video for “Come Back Song” here. There is no permit required.

 Hampton Park

Hampton Park is the largest park in Charleston, located on the upper peninsula. It is one of the few City of Charleston parks that have restrooms. The colors and textures of the gardens create many photo opportunities! There is a pond with a fountain, beautiful walkways, a gazebo, and huge mossy live oak trees. This park is not near historic downtown. There is permit to obtain and a fee to rent from the county for $300 for gazebo or $500 for pond for 3 hours.

Charles Towne Landing 

One of the MOST beautiful venues in Charleston.  The outdoor grounds venue is included in the Charles Towne Elopement Package.The elopement permit is $500 Monday - Friday, and $750 on Saturday and Sunday. The elopement is limited to 10 guests, bride and groom, officiant, and photographer. No chairs or decorations are allowed.
